Many Egyptian Gods and Goddess were represented with human torsos and animal heads. The animal head often symbolized the characteristics of the particular god. “Ra” had the head of a hawk, ensuring the gift of swift flight; Thoth was Ibis-headed; Anubis was jackal-headed; and Harsaphes was ram-headed and linked with fertility and virility.
Our “Ram’s Head” pendant is a beautiful reproduction of an historic museum piece originally found in a Nubian King’s tomb! Made of beautiful Excelsior pewter, it measures 1 1/4 inches x 1 1/4 inches. Comes on a black satin cord with pewter accent bead.
