Based on a piece in the Egyptian Museum in Cairo from 1347-1237 BC, this statue of Anubis in the form of a black jackal rests on a chest in the shape of a temple or shrine. It is mounted on a portable sledge with four carrying poles.
This lovely box is hand painted (expect slight variation making each a unique work of art!). It measures 6 1/2 inches high x 5 1/2 inches long and is made of bonded marble.
